Who the heck is Jay Stevens?
Currently residing in beautiful Nanaimo BC Canada, Jay Stevens
is a Guitarist/Bassist/Vocalist/Music Educator/composer and
professional sideman. Jay is an Endorser of Godin Guitars
had been playing their fine instruments for many years before
becoming a Godin Artist.

Jay Stevens is an in demand music composer for production
music for TV shows and commercials. His music has appeared on
shows such as Counting Cars, Mob Steel, The PGA Championship
Tournament, Rust Valley Restorers and many more.
Jay is the bassist in the Mark Crissinger
and appears on 2 of his albums. 2016's Night Light and 2018's
Live at Water Wheel Park which Jay also mixed and mastered in
Jay was the bassist for blues guitarist David Gogo
from 2001 until
2017 and appears on 6 of his Albums:

In his tenure with David Gogo, Jay has headlined music
festivals, made numerous radio and TV appearances and shared
the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, George
Thorogood, Downchild Blues Band, Jim Byrnes, Colin James, Blue
Rodeo and many more.
In rare moments of downtime from work with David Gogo, Jay
appears with many different acts subbing in on Bass, Vocals or
Jay is proficient in many different genres of music and has
played with country, rock, blues, folk, metal, punk,
funk,disco, rockabilly and progressive instrumental bands.

Known for his "big ears" Jay is comfortable at subbing for
other musicians in live situations (usually last
minute!) or coming up with parts on the spot in
Jay also owns and operates the "I Wanna Rock
" school of
music in Nanaimo BC where he teaches Guitar, Bass and Keys as
well as the very popular summer rock school program. Jay has
taught 1000's of lessons in his teaching career with many
students going on to attend University, playing professionally
in nationally recognized bands, and even has former students
now teaching at his school.
The school teaches all ages, all styles, and focuses on
getting people playing music...music that they actually like!
